WHAT WE DO
Islamic upliftment
Part of our Islamic upliftment programmes is Lay La Tul Qadri (The night of majesty). This is organised yearly during the last 10 days Ramadan. Members of the society congregate to pray for the family, the community and the country at large. We do lot of Dhikri (remembrance of Allah), dua (supplication), quran recitation and also listen to lectures during this special night. May Allah accept it as an act of ibadah.
Children activities
The kids do participate in extracurricular activities such as drama, sport, excursions debate, story telling and weekly online quran diet sessions. Some of the activities include a visit to the safari park. It was an opportunity for the kids to explore domestic and wild animals. Therefore, they can appreciate nature, respect nature and glorify Allah for His beautiful creations. Watch this space for new videos showing our other children activities.
Women activities

Community service
Community service is at the heart of our organisation. We have pandemic responses and Eid celebration gifts for the community. In this video, members of the society are seen distributing food items during the coronavirus pandemic to communities requiring support. This activity is financially supported with contributions from our members, and also from funding and grants.
Capacity building
We do invite professionals from industries, police officers, lawyers and lecturers to give capacity training to our members and children. This is a clip of a brother from Scot rail giving a talk on job opportunities, job searching, job applications, interviews and career aspirations for new graduates, unemployed members and teenagers. Watch this space for new videos.
Counselling
Our mission board provides Islamic counseling to the kids, sisters and brothers. It is an opportunity to prevent the kids from joining gangs. Islamic enlightenment and counselling resolves family misunderstandings, therefore promoting healthy family life while upholding Islamic values. Testimonials
Asalam Alaykum, a friend introduced me to NMCS when I had some challenges and I was welcomed by all the members. Members like Amir Oluyemo, Bro Jamiu and many others in the organisation. We all prayed together till everything is in place. Alhamdulillah today. So, I’m proud to be a member of the Nigerian Muslim community Scotland…
Bro. Abass Ismaila
Asalam alaykum waramotullah wabarakatu. We started our Assalat group in the year 2008. When we started back then as Nasfat, we were just 7 to 8 members if am not mistaken. Alhamdulillah, today we are in multiples . Some years back, we changed the name to the Nigeria Muslim Community Scotland (NMCS). Since I joined this group, I can see we are moving forward in all aspects of life. I could recall back then just only 1 or 2 members had cars, today Alhamdulillah, nearly all members have cars and I pray that the almighty Allah continue to bless every member of our organisation. Even most of us then were still awaiting our stay, today we can happily travel all over the world. May Almighty Allah continue to answer our prayers, make our children successful in Islam even beyond our own reach and make Jannah al firdous our last home. Ameen. Alhamdulillah Robbil Alhmeen
